One of the coolest women musicians conferences! We're leaving this up since that was the last event by this organization and it deserves to be remembered. Two full days of panels, workshops and an artist-friendly trade show, the ROCKRGRL Music Conference 2005 was a unique and innovative event.

FemMuse is a Los Angeles, California based female indie musicians network, founded by Shredmistress Rynata, award winning female lead guitarist. The mission is to provide a place for female musicians, women bands (and cool dudes) to showcase, network, share ideas, support each other, offer services and advice, job opportunities, and gig/band/musicians referrals. Acoustic singers and songwriters, heavy rocking bands - funky, jazzy, soulful - it's all here at this fab network.

If you're serious about networking, this is the place to hang your "cyber hat". Online resources and a great community of women and men musicians helping each other out. Plus extensive mp3 and show reviews.

FemMuse wants to thank a few special people who have helped to launch FemMuse and make it what it is today: Kathryn Grimm and Eileen Carey two wonderful musicians who helped in many ways to move FemMuse along. And of course everyone on the FemMuse network. You all ROCK!!

mp3 REVIEWS

Check out our new mp3 REVIEW section. We have decided to replace CD reviews with the more popular mp3 format. It's more accessible, can be listened to from the artists' web site or whatever location they will point us to, and it will save musicians the expense of having to mail out expensive promo kits. To have an mp3 of yours reviewed, send us a request through our Contact page and we will give it a listen. Include some info about yourself in that request.

FemMuse on myspace

FemMuse is on myspace. Log on and become a "friend" of FemMuse. We will rotate mp3s from various FemMusers on myspace and you can use that forum to post some gigs and network with everyone. A request from us: please don't overdue the flyers and massive ads on our myspace site. We will delete anything that is taking up too much bandwidth. Other than that, see ya all on myspace!

Our "Featured Artist"

Our featured artist: Eileen Carey. Eileen is a gifted country singer and writer with several CDs under her belt. Some of her songs have made it into national and international charts, including Billboard.
